so according to them TOG, FF13, Phantasy Star 2 & EOE are essecntially bombs = very bad sales

Tales of Graces actually seem moderate. The main thing I noticed about Tales games for Nintendo consoles they seem to do better in the rest of the World.

No, those ToG numbers wouldn't be moderate. That would make it the worst selling main title.

There was only 1 Tales game on Nintendo system that made it outside Japan, and it only sold good because GC was RPG starved and Nintendo itself helped promote the game.

The last couple of mainline tales did around 250k-330k in Japan. I am not combining tales of vesperia together since I think that the ps3 version is almost good as new.

They were on DS. Tales of the Tempest, the first DS Tales (not a main game though) was very bad and that also affected the sales of the later 2 DS Tales.

And there is no reason why not to count both Vesperias, so Vesperia basically sold ~500k.

I mean come on, Vesperia sold ~190k on Xbox360, the "hated" console in Japan. ToS:DotNW, a low-budged spin-off did 220k. It wasn't even made by Namco Tales Studio, or at least not by Team Symphonia (Symphonia, Abyss , Vesperia) and Team Destiny(Rebirth, Destiny, Destiny 2, Destiny: Director's Cut). And since we're at it, Team Destiny's games are more liked and sell more than Symphonia's. Graces is also their game, while Vesperia was Symphonia's.

I don't see Graces selling less than 350-400k LTD. (in Japan alone)

I hate sounding like another certain user on this site, but I think those numbers are just too high. I will buy this game and most likely love this game, but I don't see it possibly selling that high on one system alone in Japan.

I don't know who that certain user is but I don't care.

Well that's my guess (350-400k) and I'm not really from future so yea. Who knows, it might sell 100k in the end. We will just have to wait and see (and hope for good sales + localization). ^^

I also think FFXII will sell more, probably over 2m LTD.

Graces, Layton 4 and FFXIII all seem low imo. I've no idea on EOE, but I'd expect it to at least outdo IU (multiplatform, not an ARPG).

@jarrod

can you tell me whats before the dash & whats after that

I'm confused with what your showing us

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Thats first week (and shippment at not-yet-released games) and LTD.
edit: oh dash, those are only at predictions and I guess min-max?

I don't know why VC is only at 140k, though. VGC has it at 220k

Famitsu counts rereleases separately.  They have the BEST version around 60k.

It makes more sense for this comparison anyway, given they're not counting reissues in their estimates.

Oh right, forgot VC also got the re-release.

It is first shipment and lifetime estimates.

FWIW, and we've said this before, 1-1.1m week one for FF XIII is looking about right judging by current preorder rates... and it will be massively frontloaded just like all big PS3 games in Japan so 1.5-1.6m lifetime (exclusing budget releases, international versions) also seems about right.

I usually agree with ya but I see FF XIII hitting 1.5m in its frontloaded sales. Then crawling towards 1.8-2m for lifetime (again excluding budget releases and international versions)

Still underestimating good ol' Final Fantasy I see. It will easily beat these predictions.

Final Fantasy is so past it gone are the glory days 1990 - 2002. It bores me now to hear about final fantasy it's become as niche as blu ray is to the masses
