Forums - Sales - Game Series that are becoming oversaturated

Okay so i was just thinking about how some series are starting to ware out their welcome and are just rehashing the same thing game after game so far a few came to mind to me which were, Guitar Hero, Ghost Recon Series and maybe GTA (even though it still sells) but which other series do you guys think might start seeing lower sales due to lack of consumer interest and demand?

Guitar Hero for sure. Then the fitness titles. Singstar and DDR are also pretty redundant.

Lower sales? That's a very interesting question.

I worry that Tekken may be in its twilight. I was never a fan, but its dwindling popularity is still worrisome.

halo every year
call of duty every year
guitar hero/rockband every year
skate is already to the point where it should die
MADDEN!!!BURN!!!!

these games should come out every 2 years and just have dlc to support the game for the year that it doesnt come out.

Didn't Guitar Hero have something like 6 games this year?

Guitar Hero needs a breather, Madden seriously needs to go back to the drawing board (moderate to little improvement at all doesn't cut it for a full price, yearly title), and maybe I'm the only one who thinks there are a few too many Lego games.

Halo, Guitar Hero

pretty much every game that it's yearly.

i think 2 years it's a decent time frame. and those game are generally better.

Ratchet and Sing star. What are we on now? Number 8 or 9 Ratchet? We've had one on average every year since the series started!

Halo started in 2001 and by 2010 it'll have had 4 main releases and 2 spin offs which is coming in at an average of almost 2 years per title. Thats pretty typical for series to not be considered over saturated.

Tease.

COD,sing star, ratchet,FF series,WWE, fifa and halo is slowly becoming one.

^
2001: Halo: CE
2004: Halo 2
2007: Halo 3
2009: Halo Wars
2009: Halo ODST
2010 : Halo Reach

When look at it like that you gotta admit they are going into the milking area

OT: I don't think there is anything that comes close to the Hero game and the whole music games genre, also MGS and COD.
