Or is this game just not great.
OK before anyone accuses me of flaming.
I have played every single COD game and love the franchise.

So I am playing this one on veteran atm.
Into act 2 second mission the hornets nest.
So far it has been hard in places but you would expect that on veteran.

To be honest I am just finding it a bit boring really.
Good graphics good sound effects but nothing else really.

I know I am only just over one third through it but I have to be honest and say I am disappointed so far.
I have played a couple of special ops and that is pretty good but overall I expected more.

I mean if I was to compare it to say COD 2 which came out in 06 I would have to say it doesn't hold a candle to it.

I just expected more from it I mean the AI is OK but predictable enough so far.
Also the indicators and help to get to your next objective just seem to take the edge off it.

Any way just my thoughts on it I wonder does anyone else agree with any of my points.
I feel this one is far from the best yet and indeed would rate waw way above it.

I like it a lot, the story was weaker than COD4, which was dissapointing becaus I really liked COD4. Also, they tried too hard to copy the things that made COD4 great, like the sniper missions, nuclear explosion while you're in the helicopter, ect, but never made it as good as the originals. Online I'm liking alot too, but I never played much COD4 online on my own system to really unlock cool things.

i haven't played MW2 or any other COD for that matter but i'm going to say your problem is hype.  MW2 got a ton of it and it's hard to live up to impossible expectations.  next time i suggest you pick out a shitty game, you're bound to be pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

I haven't played more than three missions so far but I kinda agree with OP so far. The second mission was amazingly silly, especially the scooter part. I can't quite put my finger on it but it just feels... less than CoD 4 to me. (I hated WaW though so it is a massive step up from the last iteration). Oh, and if I see one more game with a Russian villain I'm gonna claw someone's eyes out.

No trust me on this I dont buy into hype on any game.

I tend to read reviews and then get players thoughts on it.

As for buying a shitty game and liking it.

naww son..this game is GOTY 2009. I'm loving the multiplayer.

I agree with you on everything. The campaign is reall shit, it dosn't make any sense. And its not giving me the same grip I had with MW1.

I have to say I'm really dissapointed.
