It's been since American's Wasteland for me and the last one I liked was Underground.  But I guess it would be a good commercial advertising point.  But once again I don't know if it is the cases.  Simply the way it is put it sounds like Mario is going to be in a game rather than an actual Mario game.  Similar to how Link was in SC II. 

I was just trying to think of a big holiday game that would be appropriate for Mario and that one came up first haha.

Could also very possibly be Mario Party DS 2 or a Super Mario Collection for DS.

Well I for one am exited though I just bought NewSuperMarioBros:Wii, do I really need another Mario game for the holidays? You never know maybe its a WiiWare Mario V.S DonkeyKong. Or maybe another Mario side scrolling platformer for all those who can't afford NewSuperMarioBrosWii. I bet its going to be like the ExiteBike announcement, its just going to come out of nowhere a week before release.

It has to be WiiWare because all the big fall games have already been announced. Its the only thing that makes sense to me.
