Forums - Sony - Finally got Demon's Soul, in a store here in Europe xDD!!

Well, I've played about 3 hours of Demon's Soul so far. The best RPG experience on the PS3, and one of the best I've had in a long time, on par with DA:O.

The difficulty is very very hardcore, even though I died only twice, both by self-stupidity (jumped off a cliff by mistake and threw a firebomb by mistake close to a barrel).

I love the parry system, so far i'm able to parry all the enemies, only having a bit of trouble with the timing of the Halberd/Spear enemies. I've unlocked the big gate to Phalanx, going to battle him tommorrow. I'm a Knight with a Mail Breaker +2

Oh, is there a way to save your souls after you leave a level? I have 1600 souls and I don't know where to spend them.

you won't be able to spend them until after the first level is complete I believe.

...

Hummm ok, is that when the stats upgrade system becomes available? I have a sweet Bastard Sword that I can't use due to lack of proper strenght

yep, you can start stat leveling once you beat Phalanx. So be careful not to lose your souls ^^

Will do then ;) Just another question, if I may. Your Soul Level increases as your stats increase right? I saw a warning message about a red eyes enemy on the way up, saying that I should be at least Soul Level 50 to handle him

every time you get a stat increase of any kind your Soul Level goes up. I don't think you need to be 50 at all to kill that guy, but he is fairly tough.  If you feel like being tricky I believe you can get him to fall to his death with a well placed arrow

Ok then, thanks for the tips ;) I'll be going now, it's almost 3 AM in here and tommorrow there's lab work to be done at 9 AM xD. Wasn't supposed to be awake yet, but I got too sucked on Demon's Soul.

@ red eye knight:

no, i killed him with 25, and if you kite him around, he WILL fall down and break his neck somewhere, which kills him, no matter what your level is. :3

and good luck in killing Phalanx, he's easy compared to the area you had to go through to open the gate. ^^

just be careful, dont rush him, take your time. you have enough cover, and he is slow, so you can think of strategies. :)

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

If you start as a royal you can actually get the Red Eyes Knights to follow you across the bridge and if you set it up right you can get him stuck on one side of debris and just cast Soul Arrow on him until he is dead. That or just get him to fall down the steps.

I did that early on for 2,000+ souls each time.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

@Euphoria

hummm, im going to try that falling down the steps trick with him ;)

@Crystalchild

I didn't find the overall area too difficult, maybe one or two soldier ambushes can surprise you, but as I said, I love the parry system, and it's also an effective enemy move stopper, because if you get into a parry animation, the other enemies can't hit you for the duration of it.
Thanks for the Phalanx tips, going to do that now as well xD
