With the Modern Warfare 2 bundle only on Xbox 360,

360 ww 300-347k
ps3 ww 250-267k

In a time where sales go up every week from now until Christmas the PS3 sales are going to drop week to week? O_o

You're brave. I like it!

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Next week though the 360's numbers are going to drop because they have been artificially inflated by the walmart deal. All other gaming hardware should rise though

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Jesus the PS3 did awful last year in the months following the 360's pricecut in September 2008 that made it twice as cheap as the PS3 at the peak of the recession.

Fixed.

Talk about manipulation.

Seems to be a little bit of lowering of PS3 expectation in here to manipulate a wow come thursday.

360 295,500
PS3 330,000

That would put 360 only down 5% YOY which is fairly good considering.. and the PS3 would be up around 50% yoy.

Jesus the PS3 did awful last year... this years 360 figure is almost 40% higher than the PS3 at the same time last year. Kinda puts the 360 current performance into perspective... not at all bad.

agreed on all three points.

But we need to consider the actual variables. There is a bundle which sold 75k and still some walmarts with the sale all last week according to posters here.

Its good when we put the numbers side by side, but when we look at how or why we see its not simply staying power keeping its sales. In the same breath you cant hold marketing strategies against a company, a sale is a sale, but when discussing whats "good" im assuming your implying its holding its sales so across the board thats a good thing, whereas its not "holding" its sales its slightly dropping even with a bundle of the top selling game of all time week one selling 75k and a deal for a $199 xbox with a $100 gift card at some locales.

In this context i dont think its healthy for the system, but as long as MSFT is willing to do things to keep its sales up then it simply doesnt matter.

I will "guess" 295k for the 360. The PS3 will be at 350k.

The last 2 weeks in NA will be interesting for the 360 sales. There is a good chance that the Walmart deal stole 360 purchases from the end of the month.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

I changed my prediction (best case):

360 - 280k
PS3 - 340k
Wii - 520k

Now comparing my prediction with VGC numbers:

360 294k : + 14k
PS3 326k : - 14k
Wii 559k: +39k

So... little errors.

The numbers are damned good. Didn't thought it would boost that much.

hmmm... I wasn't 'that' far off :)

295k is quite good for the x360. And now... one has to wonder how high the sales of the 360 will get on 21st of November.

I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!

@Shoestar

I expect about 300k for 360 this week again.

No MW2 bundle and no Walmart gift + Holiday = No increasing.
