Forums - Nintendo - Finally, a game that makes me not regret buying DS.

Well its a quality game, its not like the typical garbage you find on the on cell phones.

Most DS library is  garbage as well thanks to shovelware. For every 1 solid DS title there are 50 pieces of crap.

How can anybody ever regret buying a DS?

It basically has the best handheld library for any genre out of any handheld ever made. Heck, it's got one of the best libraries of any console ever made - only challenged (IMO) by the SNES and PS2 for its breadth and depth.

Hah, you can't be serious? The DS lacks in every genre other than JRPG.

Never make absolute statements.  You'll always be proven wrong.

Well you aren't proving me wrong. Nor could you.

You can't prove someone wrong who just says 'game sux' to every thing posted.  As you already have been doing.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

- New Super Mario Bros. - Boring

- Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Hate Zelda series

- Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Hate Zelda series

- GTA: Chinatown Wars - Boring

- Mario Kart DS - Boring

- Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure - Didn't play

- Pokemon Soul Silver (only out in Japan so far but will be awesome) ^^ - Hate Pokemon

- Scribblenauts - Fun but... eh.

- Kirby Canvas Curse - Didn't play

- Sonic Rush - Meh...

- Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - Boring

- Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Boring

- Metroid Prime Hunters - Unbelievably boring

- Meteos - Don't care

- Cooking Mama - Don't care

- Nintendogs - I'm an adult

- C.O.P: The Recruit - I will try this

- Castlevania - Don't care for Castlevania but not bad

- Any large number of RPG's like FF, DQ, TWEWY or KH - Tired of RPGs, try more eventually.

- Dementium: The Ward - Boring

- Dementium 2 - Haven't tried, probably won't bother.

- Moon - I have a 360, I don't need the DS for shooters.

- Viva Pinata - Didn't try

Hell it even has Call of Duty and Assassins Creed :P - CoD4 is pretty good and Assassin's Creed got poor scores.

You need to start buying good games. There are lots in that list and that's just off the top of my head..

I can honestly say I had much more fun with the Gameboy Advance library.

wow u think all those are boring??? seriously?? did u at least give them a try or anything??? wow well umm.. i really have nothing to say to u then... just no im disapointed in you

No, he didn't. He is probably a guy that thinks the DS only has Cooking Mama, Nintendogs and those kind of games.

I actually did play most of the ones mentioned. You find it hard to believe I didn't enjoy them?

So far the games I can genuinely say I enjoyed are Phantasy Star Zero, Orcs and Elves, Metal Slug 7, CoD4, and Scribblenauts.

I've also played quite a bit of GBA games on it.

You act like I just say they suck. I played the friggin games. They threw a big list at me of the best DS games, and I played most of them them.

I've come to the conclusion, if you don't want to play JRPGs the DS isn't for you. However, I was a big fan of the GBA and I hardly touched the JRPGs.

For every excellent book, there are 50 pieces of crap: is this a reason to stop reading?

For every excellent record, there are 50 pieces of crap: is this a reason to blame music?

And "finally", is it possible to create a thread that makes me not regret reading VGC?

Thanks in advance...

I played a bit of Phantasy Star 0. My First PSO game. Seems pretty good. If it all turns out well with PS0, I might get Phantasy Star Universe as well but I hear that online in PSU is for-pay. Boo.

The music games are better on consoles, I don't play them there either.

Castlevania isn't for me and Contra 4 is insanely over rated. Huge step down from Contra 3. Metal Slug 7 is good though.

Sonic Rush was solid, not great. The other platformers have been disappointing to me. Get old fast.

I don't care for puzzle games. They only amuse me for a few minutes.

Simulation games... lets move on.

I love real time strategy games like Command & Conquer. None of those are like that are they?

Like I said before. I don't have amazingly high standards. I love the GBA, SNES, Genesis, etc. The DS could deliver games of N64 and PS1 quality, but rarely does.
