Forums - Nintendo - Finally, a game that makes me not regret buying DS.

How can anybody ever regret buying a DS?

It basically has the best handheld library for any genre out of any handheld ever made. Heck, it's got one of the best libraries of any console ever made - only challenged (IMO) by the SNES and PS2 for its breadth and depth.

no need for list wars guys. he's probably confusing the DS with the PSP

No need for such comments....

to each his own. ;)

but on a serious note, it's really surprising to see someone regret buying a DS considering its amazing game library.

...uh.... yeah then why would you say that?

Would you relax it was just a joke, and it was kinda funny.

I don't regret buying my PSP though. Doesn't have that many great games, but it still has exclusives I'd be unhappy not to play. Also, custom firmware is all win and no fail.

The DS is the best handheld ever made, so if you ever bought any handheld and regret buying the DS, you only had it comming, because you apparently do not like portable gaming.

Some people actually don't like handhelds.  As hard as it is to comprehend, they only like gaming on one perticular platform, be it console or PC, etc.  On the flip side, some people only like handhelds.

Personally, I think they need to branch out and realize theres games that can only be played on certain platforms, such as you won't be able to experience a game like Kirby Canvas Curse or Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! on a console or a game like Resident Evil 4 or Super Mario Galaxy on a handheld.

Also, with inclusion of the new bigger screened DSi that's coming, complaints of 'small screens' really should be put to rest.  And I never really understood that myself, I mean, while a handheld does have a smaller screen than your TV obviously, it has obvious benefits than consoles.  Such as the portability but also being able to just relax while playing it (aka playing it anywhere in the house instead of being limited to your TV).  I play mine lying on my bed, usually before going to sleep.  That's why I consider it the best system ever made.

Right, and if you buy a handheld and you don't like handheld gaming, you are a genious.

For example, I do like vegetables, but I hate tomatoes. So when I go and buy vegetables, I make sure not to buy any tomatoes, because I know I don't like them. I'm really smart like that.

- Pokemon Soul Silver (only out in Japan so far but will be awesome) ^^ - Hate Pokemon

- Scribblenauts - Fun but... eh.

- Kirby Canvas Curse - Didn't play

- Sonic Rush - Meh...

- Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - Boring

- Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Boring

- Metroid Prime Hunters - Unbelievably boring

- Meteos - Don't care

- Cooking Mama - Don't care

- Nintendogs - I'm an adult

- C.O.P: The Recruit - I will try this

- Castlevania - Don't care for Castlevania but not bad

- Any large number of RPG's like FF, DQ, TWEWY or KH - Tired of RPGs, try more eventually.

- Dementium: The Ward - Boring

- Dementium 2 - Haven't tried, probably won't bother.

- Moon - I have a 360, I don't need the DS for shooters.

- Viva Pinata - Didn't try

Hell it even has Call of Duty and Assassins Creed :P - CoD4 is pretty good and Assassin's Creed got poor scores.

You need to start buying good games. There are lots in that list and that's just off the top of my head..

I can honestly say I had much more fun with the Gameboy Advance library.

wow u think all those are boring??? seriously?? did u at least give them a try or anything??? wow well umm.. i really have nothing to say to u then... just no im disapointed in you

No, he didn't. He is probably a guy that thinks the DS only has Cooking Mama, Nintendogs and those kind of games.

I actually did play most of the ones mentioned. You find it hard to believe I didn't enjoy them?

So far the games I can genuinely say I enjoyed are Phantasy Star Zero, Orcs and Elves, Metal Slug 7, CoD4, and Scribblenauts.

I've also played quite a bit of GBA games on it.

I don't see how it's impossible for anyone to not be disappointed with a DS. My DSi hasn't got all the use I wish it had so far, and I played both Phoenix Wright and Scribblenaughts.

If a person hasn't been satisfied in a console, it's because they haven't found the right games to play yet. Boneitis's point of view here is just as valid as anyone saying "The DS has the greatest library of all consoles".

Hah, you can't be serious? The DS lacks in every genre other than JRPG.

Never make absolute statements.  You'll always be proven wrong.

Orcs and Elves was pretty fun. But I can't believe you enjoyed it more than all those classics. I mean... it's a port of a cell phone game. By id...

Well you aren't proving me wrong. Nor could you.
