Forums - Nintendo - Should Nintendo debut Zelda Wii at the Video Game Awards?

I'm guessing they'll have a short trailer at GDC, like spirit tracks did.

Nah, wait for E3. I think Nintendo needs to realize that E3 is followed by the hardcore, and come with a really solid showing of "core" games for their press conference.

what everyone said, E3... even miyamoto said he wants to keep it till E3 10

Wow, I never watched the VGAs, and now I know why. How could they possibly reveal such a big Nintendo game at a show that has zero credibility with Nintendo fans?

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

A program with such an anti-Nintendo sentiment doesn't deserve to have the next Zelda unvieled on it!

Odds are, the journalists would remain quiet during the Zelda trailer reveal.

Then the media would have a FIELD DAY stating the title brought an overwhelmingly negative response upon itself. Then the title's inevitable quality will be called into question, and Nintendo will have "lost" its edge. Times where Zelda trailers made grown men cry would no longer be happening due to Nintendo's "failure to captivate".

Nintendo and all self-respecting developers shouldn't even be remotely associated with the tripe known as the VGAs.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

No, it should be saved for:
a) an important event and
b) no more than 6 months before it hits the shelves - I don't want to have to wait very long after seeing the first trailer.

Wait there is a Video Games Awards Show? Didn't have a clue and couldnt care less, and I doubt Nintendo care that much either. Nintendo seem rather oblivious to the media to be honest.

Yeah, who that actually cares about games watches this show? Why on earth should Nintendo give them an exclusive?
