not sure

I regret making this my username, I made this name when I was 13 years old

Life could always get worse, you could be a mod for Neogaf

I'm afraid not. My internet speed is around 19MB download and 2.8MB upload, and it does the trick.

I think you at least need 5MB download speed to play relatively lag free.

speed isn't that important, i used to play online with a 256k DSL connection years ago and it was fine
ping is the important thing, especially having a consistently low ping
113ms is not very good, below 50ms lag shouldn't be noticeable

I dont think you'll be able to play without lag unfortunately... I'm at 5.89MB dload and 0.7MB upload and it lags rarely (but still does)

It'll work for you  but it won't be that great.  Mine is only slightly faster than yours.  It runs at about .80 where yours is .57.  It lags in MW2 quite a bit.  I moved a little over a year ago and at that time my internet speed was about 7 or 8 mbps.  I was pretty good at cod4 until I moved.  Because your internet is slower, things don't register as quickly.  So, you'll think you're killing a guy in MW2 because that's what you see on your screen, but you'll be the one ending up getting killed.  In the killcam it shows the other guy shooting way before I start shooting.

So, it'll work but it can be frustrating when you use a full clip to kill a guy and he ends up killing you.  You'll learn to adjust though.  It'll be tough to connect to many friends online also.  Oh, I'm assuming you're talking about using the internet for MW2.  My bad if you're not.

Yes, ping is important.  Mine runs anywhere from 1 - 1.50 ms.  That's pretty slow like yours.

There isn't really a ton of information being shared when you're playing online.  Like Biroutman said ping is the issue, not up/download speed.

Your result:

Download ~ 80kb/s
Upload ~ 70kb/s
ping of 113

@Chrizum

at least 5MB/s ?????
loooool no

Even 5Mb/s is far enough. I'd say that you can play lag free starting with 2-3 Mb/s (250-350kb/s)

The ping rate changes depending on how far away you are from the server though, I have checked mine with the reccomended one (nearest) on speedtest before, and only get 17ms.... which is excellent, but using an American server it can be 100-300.

Considering YesWiiCan is using a San Fran server and (going by the university in his profile) he lives in LA it isn't very good having 100+ms ping.

Can't really host any games but no one NEVER has the right to say I lag :P
