I think the high amount of preorders is so that people can play the beta, at least thats why myself and a few friends preordered. As for the quality of the game I think it is utter crap. The aiming system seems a little off, no one seems to go for the actual objective of the mission and instead just runs and guns. the overall quality looks half assed

Halo already gained grounds. Even if Halo got a 2 out of 10 it will still sell over a million sales in one day. Whereas , MAG is a new ip and a lotta people are not sure whether to pick this up or not  and they will let the review decide for them. Maybe by the time MAG gets a sequel, it would have gained ground . I really hope it's really good because i'm picking it up day 1.

I don't know. This game could be surpisingly successful or a complete failure.

Simple - Zipper has a cult following among Socom fans, especially after the Slant6 debacle. These fans will flock to MAG in droves.

Like a splash in the pond.

It seems people are so dependent on reviews this gen that anything under a 90 is considered "shit".

Maybe it'll do Warhawk numbers.

Socom Confrontation had very bad reviews, wasn't even made by Zipper and still managed to sell 187k first week in North America.
After a year it has sold 760k in North America.


On the other hand you could get a cheap headset with the game +headset bundles
