Guys, honest truth is, this is such a big game, and we all care about it so much, we take every little piece of insignificant news and beat it until it's a dead horse. Right now, we're obsessing about the latest tidbit of news, and of course, criticizing it, because it's the only thing we're good at. We don't know if the game is great, or shitty until it's released, and trust me the opening song will have NOTHING to do with the end result or overall quality of the game, so talk about it if you're bored, but obsessing over every little detail is unhealthy, no matter how important that detail might seem.
It seems that many of you are less upset about the song selection, and more upset because this is seen as a move to adapt the game to a western audience.
I understand this, but remember, this is not indicative of the development process of the game, and the game is being released so soon in the west after it's Japanese release(a great thing no one seemed to care about) that they won't have time to westernize much else about the game. As I've said, this is 2 minutes of a 50 hour game, and it's equivalent to hating Vesperia because you didn't like the optional opening FMV.
Music is important to games, as is sound, but any one track in a 50 hour game can absolutely suck and it isn't THAT important. Especially considering this track isn't going to be played reoccurringly like say, a battle theme.
I didn't like the ending theme for season 2 of Bleach, but I still love the arc, and an ending theme in an anime is far more important than the song that plays over the credits of a 50 hour videogame. YOU ARE OBSESSING.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
