Forums - Nintendo - Will Dragon Quest X Still Come to Wii

Agreement, means the same MS did with SO or Infinite Undiscovery, etc. That kind of agreement. Plus, reality tells us that SE hasn't announced anything besides that game, for the entire gen. I don't count DS/Mobile Phone ports, or anime garbage as announcements. I mean, 3 years and not a single announcement, save for one that was probably arranged and that isn't coming out or at least anotehr 2 years.

Yeahm in reality SE treats the Wii as the console leader and it has a lot of games coming out for it /sarcasm

Of course it will. After the stellar sales of DQ IX on the DS, it's only logical for the next game in the series to be on the console with the highest install base for both Japan and the rest of the world, and that would be the Wii.

Besides, unlike the FF series, Dragon Quest isn't all about pushing the current hardware to the max and utilizing cutting edge technology to deliver cinematic cutscenes, so there's no reason for them to spend millions more just to develop in on an HD system. This is also the main reason why Capcom brought Monster Hunter 3 to the Wii, rather than the PS3 as they originally planned to do before they realized Sony's console wasn't selling so hot and it cost a fortune to develop for.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Why even discuss this? Of course it's comming out for the Wii. Please, learn the difference between small spin-offs and main franchises. Yes, the Wii can't sell small spin-offs very well, just like every single console before and besides it.
