http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/newsupermariobroswii/review.html

8.5

Last paragraph:-
Thankfully, New Super Mario Bros. Wii has more than nostalgia to back it up. While it doesn't stray too far from what's come before it, New Super Mario Bros. Wii's tight gameplay, multitude of secrets, accessibility for newcomers thanks to the nifty Super Guide, and some fun multiplayer additions all add up to a great platformer that Mario fans and nonfans alike should enjoy.

The Good

  • Great level design
  • Challenging difficulty
  • Plenty of replay value
  • Multiplayer can be fun if you're not taking it too seriously.

The Bad

  • Multiplayer can be frustrating if you're taking it seriously
  • Motion control-based moves can lead to control lapses
  • No Classic Controller support.

i was expexting better

"No classic controller support"? I guess it would only be more classic if it used an actual NES controller :P

Anyway, it seems some reviewers are having fun "taking the multiplayer seriously" while some others are not, maybe it depends a lot on who you play with?

Can we, perhaps, have all the reviews in 1 thread?

Maybe an op can make an "official" one and lock the rest.

Hahhaa, classic controller support? They want a 2-D Mario game to have dual fucking analogs and shoulder buttons? It has a D-Pad and 2 buttons. That's all you need. That's how Mario was created.

that won't stop me from buying it.

Gamespot is a bit strict nowadays, MW2 got a 9.0 when everybody else seem to be giving it a 10/10.

Its actually valid point the no classic controller support, at least in that an additional player could play instead of having to buy another fucking wiimote.

Classic control... how are you supposed to do the shake?

I'd like classic controller support because i prefer the d-pad and the button configuration but obviously with motion controls in the game it's not possible so i'm not really sure whether it's valid to mark this game down for it.
