Forums - Sony - A new tv is needed! need recomendmends :)

Hey Guys,

im not happy (anymore) with my 720p TV, so i want a new one. of course, christmas is coming, and TVs are a bit more expensive than Games, but i want one with 1080p. =( so i want to buy one in 1-2 Months.

My Favourized Size is between 32-37 Inches (bigger ones would be too big for the room he goes in to), and if possible not too expensive. (below 1000eur/$ if possible.)

can someone recommend me a special brand or model?

im happy with every suggestion i get. :)

(edit: damn, i cant change the title, im very amused that i wrote "recomendmends" instead of recommendations, lol^^, my english sucks. :P )

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

I got a 37" LG 1080p just before Xmas 08, and it's been fantastic. It cost €699 here (Ireland) I think at the time, but I believe it's down around €499 or something now. Defintely worth checking out.

I've just checked their site, and they don't seem to have the same one I got. They seem to now have a lot of 200hz TVs with USB Ports, but this one seems to be an upgraded version of mine (with a funky colour border put in): http://www.lge.com/uk/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-lcd-tv-37LH7000.jsp

only 32-37"? you can get some great 37" full hd tv's for under 700€, unless you specifically want a sony tv? those are usually expensive.

Mine is a 40" full hd samsung tv and I got it for 800€ at last christmas and it's been great for gaming.
I even compared GT5:P on the samsung tv and on comparable LG and sony tv, and I thought the samsung one had the clearest picture and the sony one worst, even thought it was 200€ more expensive.

I'd say go with samsung, or LG if you get a better deal.

LG, Sony and Samsung. Most models are very good, you'll get a top of the line (previous generation picture panels) 37" for 1000 euro's, easily!

Edit; Vashyo; both Samsung and Pioneer are more expensive than (or at least equally pricy) Sony spec for spec. Samsung are the only ones with proper LED TV's right now though.

Samsung LE37A656 is a good one. Or the new Samsung LED TV, looks amazing. Although its 1300$ - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/tv-video/televisions/led-tv/UN32B6000VFXZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail

Get one of those new LED TVs if you have the cash :P

I have a 40' Samsung 1080p. I forget what model, but I know it got a 2007 year of the award LCD TV or something. In my opinion, Samsung has the best TVS. Very crisp and GREAT sound.

On a side note, when you have that new TV, you can really say ...."C'mon, let's kick some A!" ;)

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

i have a samsung, while their image quality it's awesome, their service it's bad.

I know it's bigger than you wanted but:
