Cut and pasting their advertising spiel and their promo video is encouraging hacking.

Also while VAC does used a delayed banning system, it and PB still fail miserably to detect these advanced paid for hacks as its difficult to get a copy of the hack.

Devs like Infinity Ward would rather not make traditionally-styled PC games because it's a model that is less good for milking every dollar possible out of it - and the product of this mentality is what you see here.

You're right, devs shouldn't give out free updates or allow for free community-made content, or free online, or anything - they should nickle and dime gamers for every little bit they can. And gamers shouldn't even think about it all, and simply open their wallets and get on their knees for such developpers.
