It's wrong to voice your opinion instead of being a sheep and buying in to the hype?

Those are not real opinions. It's frustration.

The game obviously does not deserve such a low score and people are blinded by their emotions (which is not very objective).

The same argument can just as easily be made for all the high scores - people are just be blinded by the hype (or fat cheques from Activision).

Some of them might indeed be based upon hype but you have to look at the majority or reviews and in MW2's case, the reviews are very good so I think it's safe to believe the game is very good.

96/100 on metacritc can't be that wrong.

If you want to have a credible opinion, you need to be in the ballpark.  People want to drop MW2 into the 70s, even 60s, for lack of features, fine.  But to say it is worse than Big Rigs?  Do you even know how bad Big Rigs is?  Explain why MW2 on the PC is the WORST GAME EVER.  Big Rigs is in the top 5 in worst games ever.

And in this thread is people indicating that it is justified to consider MW2 on the PC worse than Big Rigs.  I can understand venting frustration and so on.  But to end up being totally off-base, is absurd to me.

Man at least Big Rigs did something new (trucks!) MW2 only goes back in every way possible. Single-Player back several years and mutliplayer several decades.

PS3 and Xbox 360 users don't seem to like it either (4.6 and 5.5).

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Well you're obviously a console gamer, so stick to what you know before trashing the entire PC community. You're probably completly oblivious to what they've done to the PC version? You're thinking "Hey, it works for consoles and i have the bestest times playing mp_ambush. I dont have a clue of why everyone is so upset. It is amazingly fun to call in Nukes!"

4-6 hours of singleplayer plus broken multiplayer, that takes about 20 steps backwards from the game's predecessor, that is outclassed by pretty well any major multiplayer game (on PC) from the past decade = AAA?

Check this out:

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/modernwarfare2?q=modern%20warfare

Metacritc Meta Score: 8.9

User score: 1.4 (as of this moment).

Seriously people.  WTF?  You have collectively shown yourself to not know a blasted clue about games, and care to throw out all sane discernment over an axe to grind.

And when a game gets a lower user rating than Big Rigs, we have a problem:

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/bigrigsovertheroadracing?q=big%20rigs

Come on, 3.5 out of 10 there?

You have to understand this is a protest at IW not releasing a PC version of MW2 but a port of the console version.  Unlike every other PC version of a CoD title (since before there were console versions) this time around they have simply not produced a PC level product.  Absolutely standard features of a PC product have been removed, and they are essentially offering the console version with K&M support, which is not going to go down well with PC gamers - as you can see.

I was planning on getting MW2 on PC, cancelled this when I reviewed the features of the solution.  Decided that it was clearly an excellent console game and bought it on PS3.  Had I bought it on PC I would have recognized the strenghs of the game, but would have judged it far harsher for what it is missing to represent a proper PC version of this title.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Please tell me how this is a good game deserving of a more than 5. I'll say hwhy it doesn't.

Single-player is lackluster comapred to modern games, it's worse than the first MW.

Multi-player is just shitty, period, it's jsut crap and nearly unplayable.

What's your reason for scoring it highly?

I didn't make any judgment on the game itself simply because I haven't played it yet but people seems to love it overall.

It's possible that you don't like the game but that doesn't mean the game is bad. You have to look at the majority and it seems you're a minority.

The SP in MW was awesome and even though the SP in MW2 is not as good, I am sure it's still good enough.

Console players will like a pile of crap if it had a gun and could move and would claim it wasa the best thing ever to happen to video games.

I need actual reasons why the game DOESN'T suck. So far you have none.

Also good enough doesn't cut it, it has to be better or this game might as well not have released, what good is i to me if I had a better game years ago?

Man at least Big Rigs did something new (trucks!) MW2 only goes back in every way possible. Single-Player back several years and mutliplayer several decades.

New as in being able to go backwards over 7000 MPH, having ZERO collision detection, and one track that didn't even load?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Rigs:_Over_the_Road_Racing

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing (often simply referred to as Big Rigs) is a racing game released for PC by Stellar Stone LLC in 2003. Due to its severe lack of functionality on release, the title has received universally negative reviews, with many critics referring to it as the worst video game of all time.

The box of Big Rigs states that the player may "race trucks across the country trying to deliver illegal cargo, with cops chasing [them]." GameSpot's Alex Navarro wrote that this description of the game is nothing more than "horrible, horrible lies"[1], since there are no police in the game. Additionally he pointed out that the computer-controlled opponent vehicles have no AI and never move from the starting position,[2] making even the description of the gameplay as a "race" questionable.

There are technically no obstacles for the player to negotiate in Big Rigs, as the truck may freely be driven on and off roads without any loss of traction, up or down 90° slopes with no loss or gain of speed, through structures such as buildings and trees, simply falling right through bridges, and even out of the boundaries of the map into an endless grey void. When the player's vehicle is put into reverse, it can accelerate indefinitely, but the truck will halt instantly when the reverse key is released.[3]

And no, it isn't trying to do something new (trucks).  Sega had done arcade truck racing before this.  So people need to get real here.  Want to know about Big Rigs?  Check out these video:

You lose ALL credibility when you put MW2 in the same class as this.  ALL.
