where;s your "proof" of this decline

Lost Oddesey? ergh no, its one of the top selling JRPG's nit called kingdom hearts or final fantasy in the west ever

We cannot deduce that a genre is in decline until the game that catalyses that genre is released, that game is FF13

FF13 will bring JRPG fans to the HD consoles in the west

I didnt talk about numbers but about quality. Otherwise the best JRPG of this gen is still Pokemon.

Yes, the genre is still very popular on handhelds (which is the dominating platform in JP), but there isn't any JRPG hit 1 million on HD console yet.

and to darthdevidem01, the reason I think it's on decline is lots of less famous JRPGs could hit a million with ease last gen, but games like Last odyssey is yet to reach 0.9 million this gen.

And I believe FF13 is still going to sell extremely well, about 6 million, but won't be as successful as FF7.

i hope not, besides not liking ff7 that much. nothing is worse than having blind fanboys jizzing over something left and right.

i'm gonna ignore forums and all that when the game comes out or even nearing. Nothing turns me off things faster than hundreds of peple clamoring over something that isn't even that special. Its like going into one piece chatper discussion or spoilers, constantly hearing everyone each week saying OMG epic chapter, ODA is god, ect. really annoying and makes me barely look at them now. I still read though cause its good, and will not shy away form ff13 if its good either.

but damn whats with peoples hyping these days. don't you guys realize that sometimes it does more harm than good.
