During a conference call for the latest fiscal quarter, John Schappert (the Chief Operating Officer of Electronic Arts) made several interesting statements regarding the games published by his company.

He stated that, since Electronic Arts made a commitment to publishing quality titles two years ago, review scores have gone up for their games. So far in 2009, they have shipped 17 games rated with an accumulated score of 80+, which increased from 13 titles in 2008 and 5 titles in 2007 during the same time frame.

Finally, John Schappert made another bold statement on the quality of Electronic Arts games by saying that, “No other game company can match our track record for quality.”

what about nintendo?

That is the biggest piece of tosh in the world. Nintendo, Valve, Blizzard, Infinity Ward, Bioware, Epic, Square Enix, Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Polyphony, Bungie, Rare, Free Radical, DICE, Capcom, Namco, Eidos, Konami, LucasArts, Sega, Ubisoft.

Just to name a few... what a bunch of hoebags EA are at times (or all the time, actually).

Given their size, Nintendo and Sony kill then in quality.

But hard to find any one else, SE Ubisoft maybe... huh.

They have some ok stuff, but I usually feel cheated by them when I buy their games... especially on the PC... Been years since they got any of my money.

I Love EA's sense of humor

From now on, anybody who uses Metacritic scores to argue for or against a game or game library's quality is in agreement with EA that nobody can match their track record for quality.
