I think many gamers are disappointed, user reviews for this game are very, very low

Not gonna lie. Pirated the game, feels about as much of the same single-player, if not a little meh after CoD4's. Also since I'd give it negative points fo multiplyer it falls somewhee in the 3-5 category, out of 10 of course.

How come you never told me you were a pirate when you argued that piracy was the same thing as renting games, and I asked you if you were defending it out of personal justifications of your own piracy?

I don't care how justified you feel in doing so, you are a leech to this industry, and a pirate, and I don't like it. Next time a game I don't like is released, I should ironically pirate it just to give it a biased review based on my love for a platform that I feel it has insulted by existing.

I infact downloaded it 6 times. Also you are just as big of aleech as I am, if not a greedier one considering you get money out of soomeone else's work.

Also I'm grading the game, it's got a single-player worse than CoD4 and absolutely horrendous and shitty multiplayer. Why does it deserve anythign above a 5?

You realize that with this, you'll never win again in a pro-PC argument against me. Some secrets should be best kept to ones-self.

That said, I'll let you bask in your passive-agressivism over your conquering and giving us your premetitatedly low review score of MW2, knowing that the MW2 battle is but a temporary one and ours is eternal.

Anyway, I don't think many PC fans will pirate it. I think they are disgusted with the game, and wouldn't even play if for free. I think they'll parrot the negative comments from IGN abou the SP in a half-hearted attempt to marginalize the game, but I think they'll fauxly confess to a crime they did not commit, just to vent about the game and gain some form of retalliation with the twisted logic that claiming piracy over the game is somehow a defeat to the developer, when ironically, they would have only actually pirated it if they thought it was going to be great.

Forgive my spelling, I'm too lazy to spellcheck it.

Spore got pirated 2 million times in 1 week because of intrusive DRM. Do you honestly think that what IW did won't garner i some serious attention from the PC people simply out of principle?

Ultimately it comes down to the fact that the single-player is slightly worse than CoD4's and the fact that the multiplayer is broken, gimepr, shitty, and might as well not have existed. That's a pretty good reasoning to give this game a 5/10 and a 5 is praising it a bit too much even.

Best FPS I've played. Not disappointed at all.

I'm not suprised VGchartz is though, considering this is not an anime style ga

IW is playing it safe....that's expected.

Next up: CoD: Space Warfare......featuring lasers and massive 4v4 battles on PC!

Oh and seeing as they like always making Russians the villians:

I still play COD 1 United Offensive on the pc almost every day, just for multi player. I have COD 4, thought it's single player sucked! (maybe the only one who thought so?) I hate games that just keep spawning bad guys, or spawning grenades on your head if you don't move (no one actually throws them, from what I can tell). It was all about getting to the next check point, and then, what do you know? All the bad guys that were chasing you are gone. Hell, I once ran past about 30 bad guys, they were dropping out of helicopters behind me, spawning in front of me. I just ran past them, barely making it to the next check point, and they stopped following me! Guess it was break time. It 's just too scripted for my taste, it feels like they are pushing you through the game, and CODMW2 is probably more of the same in single player mode. I love Uncharted2, maybe because it's scripted like a movie, is more varied and interesting, and graphically beautiful, so I do like some scripted games. Uncharted2 doesn't re-spawn enemies infinitely for dramatic effect, though. (BTW, MW2 is not locked at 60fps, it uses vsync so there's no tearing, but fps can vary from 30-60fps, which is quite good)

Depends. I ejoyed the singleplayer for the most part, one intense event after the next. The story however had it's ups and downs. I liked the whole finale and the way they ended the first game with a feeling of closure, but here they reopen everything and I had trouble following things early on and you'll see how the ending is geared to start the next Modern Warfare game. I also apparently didn't get the trophy for getting through the first level, lol (training and the town I believe).

One thing I would have liked was to see more of the start of the Russian invasion. You see the loading cut-scene where they're like "holy crap, an invasion" and then bam you're fighting. I guess what I'm getting at is more of the discovery and panic of the onset of the Rusians attacking rather than being thrust X amount of time after it's already started. Still, the whole Russian invasion was intense and I really liked playing through it (especially the EMP part!)

When it comes to the multiplayer, I just finished a bunch of rounds and I can't say I care that much for it. I'd prefer to be playing this on my PC with how fast paced it is and how quickly you'll die, but the whole IWnet crap means this couple day PS3 rental will be all I'll care to play unless I ever restart gamefly in the future. While it's been over a year since I last played Modern Warfare's online (gamefly rental of the PS3 version), I still feel tired of it and Modern Warfare 2's more of the same feel just isn't interesting me right now. Thus, I have to say that I'd rather be playing some other game like Killzone 2's online to be honest.

I can't say I'm on the side of matchmaking either. In the rounds I've played today, there has been lag which has made things very choppy as well as a few host migrations which will make things unplayable for a quite a while. Further adding to this, the host migration failed (or lost connection or something) in my last match and the game ended with all the players sent back to the lobby. I was also in a full ground war lobby and the countdown to start the match was at 5 seconds, but two people left and the countdown was halted to search for more players. This felt like such a waste because the matchmaking doesn't have a problem with connecting me to matches that are already in progress so why should the countdown stop because two out of eighteen people decided to disconnect? Heck, the matchmaking is brilliant enough to connect me to a match that ends right as I'm selecting my class before my first spawn! Maybe it's just not my luck? Either way, it keeps me siding with dedicated servers and against Infinity Ward's decisions for the PC version.

But hey,

Lack of dedicated servers, 9v9, lack of mods, P2P, solely mathmaking. How can multiplayer get any worse than this is the question. Doom 2 almost had better multiplayer than this pile o' shit

lol...indeed.

i love when people claim crazy things and then back them up with actual facts.

I've got a well known and public hate for the PC version of MW2. Haven't played it yet though, but i've spent a couple of hours on my friends 360. And from my point of view, MW2's SP is shorter and weaker than MW1.

Multiplayer is basicly the same, console wise. Graphics are 0.5 above COD4, and the perks are a step back imo. They've added more, but its all public noob-friendly stuff. Review wise i'd give the console version an 8-8.5 overall, and a 6.5-7.0 for the PC overall, since this game is a MP game, and having a gimped version of MP in the PC world does not deserve anything above 7.
