I feel the same way about the graphics thing on IGN

I think they're scoring for overall look, etc. Neither MW nor MW2 (or any CoD game actually) has represented the technical graphical peak of a generation. Uncharted 2 and KZ2 and Gears 2 are way ahead of the MW engine technically.

However, even allowing for overall look I couldn't agree with 10 out of 10 for the MW games. They are solid 8.5s graphically with clever level design making them look like a 9 (or a 10 if you get overexcited by the whole HUGENESS of their sales, which IGN seem to suffer from).

People who've been looking to topple KZ2 as the "graphics king" are the ones making a big deal. Or at least, topple it with a game on the 360....

They don't know how to properly score anymore, old news. The standard scoring system is fcked beyond repair and they're part of the reason why it's like the way it is now.

modern warfare is also SUB HD. A laughable score to be quite frank. A decent example of why the gaming media is rotten to the core.

Haha same person that reviewed Modern Warfare 2 also reviewed Muramasa: The Demon Blade and he gave Muramasa a 10 on graphics.

I never bother even reading individual scores usually but not giving KZ2 a 10 is just plain stupid, same for Gears 2 if they didn't either. I guess even if I had noticed though I wouldn't be bothered enough to start a thread about it.

Thank Goodness! Someone who feels the same way. I'm sure that killzone 2 and gow 2 getting a 9.5 from one site is not going to make the game look any worse than it does so who cares what score they get. All that matters is whether you like the game or not.  

How many of the people here have seen Modern Warfare 2 in action? Because you do realize that MW2 is running at 60 FPS right?

That obviously gives the game some points. Personally, I am very impressed with MW2 graphics. It looks very nice, and maintains a very steady framerate throughout the whole game. Just because it can't match up to Uncharted 2 in a screenshot competition, doesn't mean the game can't be damn impressive in its own way.
