On the way to work this morning picked up a paper and saw a nice ad by Sainsbury’s (large chain of supermarkets) selling PS3 Slim for only 199.99! Now I’m thinking if I should get one in case my 60gig PS3 purchased in 2007 bricks one day.

 I think people will go crazy for PS3 at this price. In the same paper there were 3 other ads offering MW2 with a big picture of Xbox next to it. Strange marketing since the game is available on other platforms.

People really am trying to make MW2 look exclusive lol

They are selling the Wii with Sports and Sports Resort for £135 too. Going to get one at lunch - should have picked one up when getting COD this morning for £26! Woohoo

yeah PS3 Slim is 239€ in Germany already. The slim was 299€.

Has the GBP:Yen exchange rate moved in favour of a lowered price in Britain recently? i.e. Yen has devalued vs. the pound?

I doubt it. It is just a promotion by  large supplier who can afford it. GBP199.99 is nothing comparing to GBP415.00 I paid.
