Forums - Gaming - More EA info: Cutting 1/3 of new projects

new IPs have done well, crackdown, dead rising, battlefield bad company (okay a spin off), lost planet, left 4 dead, mass effect

honestly i felt mirrors edge disappointed, dead space was fun... but predictable for its kinda game

note, i od not understand why they hinder wii games descended for hd IPs dead rising wii should have rocked, and dead space wii could have rocked its like they forgot how to make games when the make a spin off for the wii and it pisses me off

(still thinks viva pinata should have more love, have gotten 2 girls into gaming using it as a gateway drug)

come play minecraft @  mcg.hansrotech.com

minecraft name: hansrotec

XBL name: Goddog

Around the Network

Yeah they probably didn't cancel the dead space sequel since there's a Dead Space movie coming out

Go look at the game charts this week and tell me who is number 2 right under Nintendo.

The problem is not how much they are selling, it's how much they're spending. They bleed cash because of the unorganized mess their studio structure has become.

And they aren't fixing it. What else did they do today? Oh yeah... they bought PlayFish.

To all those that have been canned... my deepest condolences and make sure to wipe the spit off your face!

Here's a hint EA, make a game that Wii owners actually want, I can't remember the last time I actually wanted to buy anything from EA, Activision or most other third parties on the Wii, I think I've only been interested in maybe seven or eight third party Wii titles this gen, and almost half of those games haven't even come out yet like Epic Mickey, that's the reason that you guys are having trouble on the Wii.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Did someone just say EA is going Activision?

Um... wasn't "activision" the cool new way to say "EA"?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
