I got interested in it because so many people were talking about it and the whole FF meets disney heroes sounded interesting.
And since I bought one as a package with my second hand ps2 system i gave it a try.

And then i got bored in the first hour of game not to mention really dated control scheme (holding button and using left analog to look around - WTF?) which was making it more of chore than fun so i sold it on ebay last week :D

Even on an internet forum where it is going to be biased towards people in the videogame "know" just as many people are stating Disneyesque reasons.

I can tell you why I wasn't interested in it.

Because it looked like a giant Disney crossover game... and i was never a Disney guy.

To be honest, the Utada Hikaru theme song in the commercial is what first got me interested! Then i saw an action game with disney characters that looked pretty damn epic, so i was in!

Uhm I bought it cause of the Disney Characters in a Square game. I really wanted to see how it'd turn out since at the time I was so loyal to Square that I bought systems to play their games.

Hey that was like me a generation earlier.  That's why I bought a PS1.

First system i bought myself at that.

Infact... Sony systems are actually the only ones i have bought myself...

the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP are the only systems i've bought myself.  The rest were gifts.

I bought it for the FF characters. At first SE could die for making a Disney game.

I listened to Hikaru Utada's theme song in KH2 opening. I was like OMG! that is the most beautiful thing i have ever heard!!! so it got me interested, so i saw a couple of reviews and some gameplay vids and now i'm really interested, so much that i am now considering buying a PS2, they're only $99 now, right?

or i migh just emulate it on my new gaming PC i just bought yesterday :)

not at all, it looks pretty eve now, =), some even didn't care disney, but bought it due loyalty to square, alsow when they heard nice things of the game.

I saw a trailer of Squall, Sora, Yuffie and Aeris and that's when i thought to myself I HAVE to get this game.
