Olympus Mons, a 550 km wide volcano, is the largest volcano in the solar system and covers an area about the size of Arizona.

I already knew that!  I looked it up 'cuz it was in a Pixies song.

Then I looked up Pavonis Mons 'cuz it was in a Flaming Lips song.

These guys sure like singing about Martian volcanoes.  Fucking weirdos.

What's even weirder is that Mars doesn't have tectonic plates, so it doesn't even get volcanoes the same way Earth does.  They get them waaaaaaay bigger though.  You could probably fit a million burritos in one of those guys.
