PS3 deals happened after the holidays and right before the summer sales period. This is happening right when people begin shopping for the holidays. This should easily have a bigger boost than the PS3 promotion did, although if it is on the scale of 100-150k boost is yet to be seen.

and so it floods ebay with 360s only slowing down the sales via ebay so people will have much more xboxs to buy on ebay, and buy the time they all sell out on ebay, the time lost will just equal very minor sales towards 360s.

i know thats hard to understand, and even harder to explain, but if you get what im saying it makes complete sense.

I understand the difference here, but I am still having trouble seeing this 100-150k boost.

I see this deal as giving the 360 a nice boost, most likely passing the PS3 in NA, but I also see this deal just taking away a good chunk of Target, Bestbuy, Gamestop, etc... sales for the week as well and just putting those sales into Walmart, which I am not sure VGChartz or NPD tracks, only estimates.

a ps2 costs 99$ this is ridiculous

Ps3 sure has never had a $99 system, let alone advertised across the US and placed into Wal-Marts. I dont think that the PS3 has had even close to this calibur of a sale. $99 is cheapass heaven and wal-mart is the pearly gates.

Anyways: I still dont know about 360 selling more then PS3 in America, a lot of people do not know about this deal, as I just went to my Wal-Mart and they have 3 at stock and they sold 1, so really I dunno. Also no ad's of this promotion was put up in the whole store, I had to ask a person who works there. But time will tell.
