Forums - Nintendo - Brawl and Galaxy: Will they reach 10 million?

The thing is, for Galaxy to hit 10 million ... at the rate it's going now, not counting holiday boosts at the moment, it would take almost 4 years. And that is if it's sales were just the way they are now and didn't decrease at all for 4 years.

With 11,5 k  a week it needs 3 years to hit 10 million.

Very true. I rounded it to 10k and went from there, but assuming it went with 11,5k per week worldwide for 3 years, it'd hit 10 million almost exactly 3 years from now.

That's still a pretty long time for a games weekly sales to go unchanged, though.

Brawl will get to ten million easy.

For SMG it's a different story. I expected higher sales, but with the sequel and probably no player's choice, i expect it to end around 9.5 million or so. It could do so much more if the price is reduced. I mean Brawl's price was recently reduced somewhere and now it's doing around 30k weekly.

Currently Playing: Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros for Wii U

Predictions:

Super Mario Galaxy will pass Super Mario 64 in total sales CORRECT!

i agree pretty much the fact that Brawl will pass 10 million no sweat. Super Mario Galaxy I think it might get a boost from the new Super Mario Galaxy 2. I think 9.5 million is forseable not sure bout 10 mil but then again, Mario is a very very popular franchise it may just reach it.

I think Brawl will no doubt reach 10 million. It has pretty good legs selling 100K a month is pretty good for an aging title. Mario Galaxy on the other hand I doubt will reach 10 mill, its already below Brawl and isn't shipping the same high number of software. Sure Galaxy2 might give Galaxy a slight boost momentarily however Galaxy2 will quickly overtake Galaxy and sales of the first title will begin to faulter even more then they are now. I'd suspect Brawl will reach 10 mill and Galaxy a little over 9-mill. Still great sales figures!

Brawl is an evergreen Wii title (although to a much lesser extent than Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Wii Play etc.) so it will eventually reach 10 million but I don't think Galaxy will even though it deserves to.
