Even now a show like Rugrats is good. Is is good enough that a parent can actually sit down and watch it. I also agree with Blacksaber, Ahh Real Monsters! was a good show too.

I also REALLY enjoyed Salute Your Shorts as a kid though.

I think todays problem is not just these shows being as retarded as they are, but also the fact that EVERYTHING is computer animated. I even hate how Disney took that route. What happened to the good ol' animated cartoons drawn up by artists? 

My jaw hit the floor when I saw in the beginning of Care Bears, during the trailers, that they made Popeye computer animated... seriously... wtf?

I only know all this because I actually bought the DVD collection for Care Bears. What is worse is that I didn't buy it for my daughter. I bought it for my girlfriend long before she got pregnant. O_o

I think TV in general has gotten worse.

I am forced to watch Grey's every Thursday along with Private Practice because my girlfriend is a fanatic of both shows. Same with Desperate Housewives on Sundays.

These shows aren't horrible, but maybe I think that because those are the only shows ever watched on the TV.

Anyways, I agree. It is all the same exact crap rehashed time and time again. The networks find something that people like and then they just duplicate it time and time again until the next big thing comes.

Don't even get me started on this reality TV crap though. My god. To think, I used to feel that it was bad when the only reality crap I saw was Real World and Road Rules on MTV. Think of how I feel now? O_o

VH1 is one of the worst offenders for that. They have like 7 different dating shows.

Flavor of Love, I Love New York, Real Chance of Love, For the Love of Ray J, Daisy of Love, Rock of Love, etc. They ran out of ideas.

Cartoon Network is terrible now apart from Adult Swim (it's getting worse, imo). The only shows I like from that channel is Courage the Cowardly Dog and Ed, Edd, & Eddy. I miss Johnny Bravo and the Powerpuff Girls :( Does Boomerang have those shows?

What time does Ed, Edd and Eddy show?

And poor Cartoon Network...who the hell had the bright idea to go to a CARTOON network and start trying to push reality tv for kids? It seems so...moronic. Can't believe they trashed all their good stuff so quickly.
