To all those saying the screens suck, did you view them in 720p? >_>

gow collection looks way better than origs.

its in hd with trophies, 2 stunning games on one disk, im well getting this. the titles keep coming in on ps3.....

Yeah, but if you click on the images and look at them full sized, the remastered version looks much better.

...also, the color fading makes the screens look worse, but with a good HDTV, you can actually fix that with color saturation and contrast settings.

Not to mention the remastered version runs in full 16x9 I'd assume(with no small black overscan bars on the side like PS2 games) in full HD, with some technical improvements at 60 fps. Plus it's not really that much more expensive then buying the games seprately on the PS2....

If you guys haven't click on the screens to see them in full size, and look at the edges and resolution of the textures. The difference is actually much better than I expected. I really thought this would be a port with 16x9, but the graphics are greatly improved. :P

The colors are not washed out on a properly setup PS3 and HDTV.

I had really hoped they would do more that just AA. They could have at least made the character models a little more detailed.

OMG, lol. Look at the screens in HD. The character models are MUCH more detailed....

Not impressed at all. No jaggies which is nice.  Good for newcomers and Trophy whores. Not worth a rebuy.........except for that awesome box set.

Hmmm......did you look at the photos in 720p? I'm just wondering, because some people looked at the photos linked in the OP without enlarging them, and also, some people don't realize all the upgrades that this title offers besides greatly improved graphics, like the frame-rate, the AA, and the 16x9 improvements.

The original game, for instance, is unplayable on a plasma screen, unless you stretch the game at least slightly out of proportion. The new version, supposedly has no overscan lines, and thus has removed the small black bars on the outside edges inherant to every PS2 game in native resolution.

Overall, it is actually a very significant and all encompanssing upgrade.

Also, some people don't realize that color saturation is a setting on their television, and not a static, unchangable option.

Guys the games were made in 15 weeks (just a little under 4 months) by a small dev team in Texas (Bluepoint Games), If you are expecting they will re-do the engine and art to the same level as GOW 3 you're foolish.

As I say it if you want to play GOW1&2 then the best version is Collection>PS3 BC>PS2

You don't have to buy it if you don't see the value and already own both PS2 games, this was more done for the people who missed out on them back in the day and were hoping to catch up on the story before GOW 3 and since each god of war on PS2 is $20 this is a very nice deal you get with better graphics and performance and also trophies.
