Anyone got their disc yet? I'm hearing people saying it's inferior to the 360 version in terms of visuals (i.e not 1080, always 480p at all times) so I'm just wondering if it's reason enough to kick out the ps3 and call Sony names.

Don't kick it...just look at it REAL sternly.

ON topic, sorry, I only use netflix on my 360. For what it's worth the "HD" picture on Netflix isn't amazing. It's good, but not INCREDIBLE. Plus it only offers 2 channel sound.

Where was it said that Netflix on PS3 is 480p only?

I think the lower quality visuals is due to microsoft owning the patents on the better streaming codecs that netflix just happens to use. The disc is just a work around and in the future they may be able to work some type of deal out with microsoft to get the better codecs (silverlight).

I want it on the wii cause right now my bluray player is one of those instant netflix players but that only works in the usa and i m in canada so yeah i have this service like netflix but for canada its called zip and they mail it to u free shipping both ways it comes with a prepaid envelope.....so yeah its 12 dollars not bad..but i wish netflix gave supposrt in canada jezz they suck i fing hate them..i want it on the so that i can use it but i am afraid that if it does come on the wii, it still won't work it will probably have the same problem as my bluray player...

Until netflix does some type of agreement with microsoft for their tech, it will always be that way.  Until netflix either goes with another form of codec or give microsoft what they want to get it on those other consoles.

As long as the quality is good and and smooth then I don't mind. It will be a lot more convenient with it.

To be honest I don't understand the obsessiveness over "HD".  I have a 57 inch 1080p setup, its wonderful and I do enjoy the HD content.  But I still love watching movies in lower quality too.  It doesn't ruin my experience at all.  And if you have a smaller tv under 45 inch  720p is enough anyway.
