It's worth a read

I'm rather disappointed right now.

I was really happy when I found out amazon had this great pre-order bonus for Uncharted 2. So I pre-ordered the game and received my code through e-mail some days after the release date of Uncharted 2. Here's the description of the bonus:

"Pre-order "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" and get an Amazon exclusive treasure map. This bonus video strategy reveals the secret locations of treasures hidden within the game and can be viewed on both the PS3 and PSP systems."

Now I'm just human and most people who read this are also humans right?

And when I read the description of the bonus, I understand that this "treasure map" reveals the location of all treasures but no...Of course! Obviously! I try the map (which works a little like the MGS database) for the first time today and guess what...It actually shows the location of only 6 treasures...

Argh...

After a quick search on google, I stumbled on some answers Amazon gave to some people who complained. Here are some of them:

"I apologize for any misunderstanding in regards to the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves exclusive treasure map pre-order bonus item. At no time did we detail that the treasure map would include the locations of all of the treasures available in the game."

"We apologize for any confusion that this particular issue may have caused you. You will need to contact Naughty Dog for the proper troubleshooting steps. You can reach their Technical Support Line at www.naughtydog.com ."

Yes it's true they didn't said it would reveal all treasures but one can only assume it would show all of them if they don't give more details.

I feel like a fish living in a one square meter pool at a fishing convention in like...2007.

I'm trying to control myself and be matured about this but being played like that is just...*sigh*

Yikes...that's the dirtiest thing next to Namco screwing their 360 Tales fanbase over in the guide of the PS3 version.

Update:

Someone sended that message to amazon and he got a refund for the whole game price:

"We recently received our pre-order purchase bonus for Uncharted 2, the Treasure Map. I am very disappointed with this map as it only shows the first 6 treasures or so. Based on Amazon's description of it, the map sounded like it would show all of the locations of the treasures.

This has been reported on various forums by all who pre-ordered the game thru Amazon. Is this a glitch? Will there be more treasure locations revealed over the next few weeks?

Based on this very lame bonus, I'm sure to take my next purchase from another retailer, unless there is something that Amazon will do to fix this.

PS: Uncharted 2, the game itself, is fine and a very entertaining game. It's just the lame bonus that is the problem."


I sent it too and we'll see what they'll answer.
But I bought the game from amazon.ca so maybe Canada is more cheap...I don't know lol

You can go on youtube for vids that show all the treasures.

Yeah I know but it's more a question of principle now.

And having know it was only 6 treasures, I would have pre-ordered it somewhere else like Best Buy who offered something more interesting.
