6.76 is the 360 gap. I predict it'll be 3M by the end of Jan 2010. With GT5 and God of War pushing the lead to a little bit under 3M

I wouldn't consider the PS3 getting 10 million in sales in America to be a milestone. Why might you ask? We all knew it was going to reach that anyway. A milestone is a significant stage or sign which is a clear marker of progress. Sony was always progressing in America bit by bit. The PS3 will most likely sell 25-30 M consoles in America before this gen is over.

A true milestone this gen:

Microsoft selling 1 million consoles in Japan. That my friend is a milestone. Achieving something like that in enemy territory.

Nope. MW2 will help the 360 get back on track, then the 360 will come back steadily during the Christmas season. The PS3's sales will slow down. You're expecting a miracle if you expect the gap to 3M by the end of Jan. It's sad enough that the gap is at 6.76. The PS3 has sold very well, but where the great demand? The PS3 is at a truly affordable price now. Just like 2008, if the PS3 breaks down the lead to 5 million consoles, Microsoft will take it from there like they always do. Both systems will have amazing games coming out in 2009, but no game will be bigger than Halo Reach guaranteed. That my friend is a console seller. GT will give the PS3 a good push as well, but it wont do the numbers that Halo will.
