Hi there.

Is it true that you are developing in UDK for publishing in PS3?

How can that be possible? I think UDK supports only Windows. To get it into consoles you must purchase UE3, which is estimated at $700 000.

I am interested in indie developing in UDK, but i'm backing away from it because it won't enable me to publish into consoles.

So what is your condition, did you find a way to use UDK, or are you really working with a company who bought the full UE3 engine?

In any case, you shouldn't start a post by saying UE3 is free. It is NOT. UDK is free. But UDK is functionally diferent from UE3, mainly because it only supports Windows.

Thanks for the info.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

well how is your development going

so you have the Unreal 3 Engine for Free and an PS3 dev kit, then the PS3 dev kit cost you anything

and how is the UDK, i am thinking of mucking around with it

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Why the hell would the Unreal Engine 3 be free to use?

And about your game how do you think the graphics will stand up to other PS3 titles? (just curious)

This thread is going to get interesting. I think i will check back later

The UDK  and UE3 is only free until you try to make money using it, then it'll cost you an arm and a leg. But good luck with it!

Currently playing: Gran Turismo 5
Just finished:
Infamous 2

I thought PS3 dev kits/liscencing n' shit cost mad money?

How long have you been developing games for?  I'm a senior at school for game design, and I'm currently working on a game too!  How has your experience been with Unreal so far?   A few other groups here at school are also using UDK, however I'm currently using Unity, have you ever tried that?
