This game is over-hyped. The review is horrible. From what he tells it should be a lower score. Same gameplay. Some gay military story. Cod4 was a great game, but I`ll never buy a game that should be an add-on instead of a completely new over-prized game.
Will you fall into the hype?

Although I, myself, am not gay, you do realize there are gay people on this website who would take offense at that, right?

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Fine that you don't like the game but do you really need to use words as 'gay'.

Oh sorry, I just thought that word would be fitting for people that like stories that are about men in funny clothes.

Is it just me, or are the graphics a bit disappointing. Saw some chunk-o shadows and some bad textures here and there. Models nothing to write home about either. Granted it's just a low-res you tube vid, but still.

I don't believe any CoD title, Modern Warfare included, has ever been amazing graphically.  They've all been solid, and IW sure know how to use level design and careful use of assets to make their titles look better than they really are (in comparison to the cutting edge engines around).

So it's going to look good, and its Art direction and design will likely work to make it look even better, but if you look close you'll see the graphics aren't at the cutting edge.  But then, IW have stated they target fps and other factors over pure graphical might.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

MW2 is about gameplay and an amazin(LOL im sorry i cant, the story will be linear),and decent graphics

WTF?! Can he ruin the game ANY further?! I watched the first 3 minutes and stopped the video. He's spoiling the entire game. Seriously...bad video review, and too much commentary on what the story is.

How do you spoil an FPS? They all have the same story, just a different setting Bad guys are threating humanity, you must stop them, fight some big bosses along the way, and save the day. I think I just spoiled gaming of all kinds for you now

Have you played a CALL OF DUTY game before? It's not just any old generic FPS with no story. For me i play Call of Duty games for the single player experience, and try the multiplayer occasionally. Call of Duty games are HEAVILY story based. Get your mind right.

Yes, I've played 1-5 thus far. Lets take the most recent COD 5 - "Youre in Japan, and you have to win the war, one campaign at a time." It pretty much is cut and paste of old WW2 movies turned interactive. Im not saying they're bad, Im just saying they're predictable. Shall we try to sum up MW2 into a sentence? "America is under attack by terrorists, and it is up to you to stop them and protect your country"

I don't mean to seem jaded, I just have a deep understanding of how to pitch a game to a publisher in under 3 minutes. If you break it down to the core elements, FPS games usually have the same premis, just different settings. Part of being a developer is that a lot of the magic of the games that come out is lost, because you know exactly what was done to make the "magic trick" happen.

Firstly, my question was a rhetorical one. Secondly, almost every game has an eventual ending, and thus can be summarized. Take your example and use it to any game whose story has been completed. MGS: The world is in danger from a terrorst group, and it's your job to save it. Super Mario and most renditions of it: The princess is in danger, and it's your job to save her (thus saving the kingdom). Same deal across the board.

That's where the STORY comes into play. The tie in from begining to end. The events in which take place in order for you to complete the game. It doesn't matter under what genre that story takes place in, it's the STORY, and one in which i would prefer not to have ruined by a video review.
