Forums - Sony - Ubisoft Signs Deal with Sony for exclusive AC2 ad Campaign

It's not impossible.

PS3 version has a bundle. PS3 version has exclusive content. PS3 version is getting the advertisements. PS3 itself has a fuck load of momentum lately.

I think PS3 will edge it, kinda like the Res5 PS3 vs 360.

This is the first I've head of this.  What sort of content is it getting?

Waste of money imo. I think the concept was very cool and that forced peoples hand for a purchase. However, the game was repetitve and i don't think the majority of people who owned it will buy the next.

AC sales > AC2 sales

I think this is a big mistake for Sony. Gamers will see the ads and go into the store just to realize "Hey I can get this on my 360". Rather then advertising Sony needs to play Microsoft and Nintendo's game. I remember when Nintendo signed a contract with Capcom to make RE4 GameCube exclusive for a year. Or how about Microsoft getting SplinterCell exclusively.

Sony needs to spend their money buying up exclusives. Play the same game Microsoft and Nintendo have played. Infact its a game that Sony started back in the day when they signed Square for Final Fantasy exclusives. It is in Sony's best interest to invest in getting exclusive content on the 360. Just look at Batman, PS3 gets the Joker and suddenly sales of the game on PS3 shoot through the roof.

Sony let the games advertise themselves. Focus your effort on getting the games in the first place!

Yeah and the GameCube version outsold the PS2 version with 1/10th of the install base so what's your point?

Also Sony never signed Square up for FF exclusives and since when do Nintendo pay for exclusives? In fact Reggie has said that it isn't something they'd do. Where are you getting your facts from?

The ps3 already has pretty much double the number of exclusives compared to xbox. More exclusives next year, this year and last year. Microsoft has very small 1st party so they're forced into moneyhatting companies to try and compete.

If AC2 PS3 outsells the 360...it would be an amazing feat...probably the most amazing to date!

Looks like MS got the better deal.

AC2 will not even come close to the first ASS Creed.

Funny you should mention that. Didn't Sony have a chance to bag this as a PS3 franchise, but passed on it?
