I will be going in for surgery for some things including a biopsy on Friday at 11:30am Eastern time.

Try as hard as you can to remember the point when the anisthetic takes effect. Its an incredibly strange experience.

Also once I woke up and was still connected to the machines I discovered that I could slow my heart rate by simply concentrating on it, weird stuff. But anyway good luck, you'll be fine : )
