How many units did FM3 sell? vgchartz claims 3.22 million. However this site mentions that the developer says it sold close to 4 million by april 2010.

God you were in quick then to jump all over that number werent you... yeah just forget the rest of the article praising the game...

& you whine about GT fans getting defensive?

please kowenicki

lol this.... forza 3, hardly made 3 million sold to costumers. What's with all these flagship Xbox sequels failing to surpass their previous franchise highs.

Take into account that sequels have extra hype because they are more reknown than the first game for a new series, and these sequels have released to much better market conditions installed-base and console price-wise.

Mass Effect 2.

Forza 3.

Fable 3.

Halo Reach.

Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Crackdown 2.

Seriously, all the above games have had dissapointing sales taking into account what I just pointed out, and nobody can ignore that. Those games should've sold lots more, not similar sales or less.

You honestly expect a game to outsell its predecessor in a space of less than a year? Most of those games with the exception of Crackdown 2 had a larger launch than predecessor, so by your logic Halo Reach should have outsold 11M copies in the first 10 weeks of its release? And also, going by your thinking if GT5 fails to outsell GT4 by the end of the year it will be considered a failure, your logic is kinda flawed as you cannot possibly predict the future nor can you assume that those games wont get a bump in the same space of time that their previous installments have been out on the market.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

maybe you should use your brain before writing such a post which contains almost 100% false information.

You only got Crackdown 2 right, the rest is just wrong.
