That is a decent price for that panel, it's about a G a lot of places. My understanding of the sale however is that you are still going to pay the regular price for the 360......$199. It's just that WM will hook you up with a $100 gift card. I guess you could turn around and buy another 360 with the card making that second one $99 and maybe get another card and keep hitting up the Wal-Marts in your area all day. I'm sure some people will exploit this deal.

They may be expecting them to sell out pretty quick, thus this may not be an issue.

Well once the card is in your hand you could go back anytime for a second 360@ $99. I bet there is a limit of 1 per customer though.

That's a huge deal...I wonder if it's a forshadow to an outright $99 arcade on Black Friday at other retailers.

Black Friday is going to see a significant boost in XBox 360 console sales.

I would expect it to win the holiday season if it were $99, yes even beating the Wii.  But I don't think the price will be so cheap this season.  They will probably drop it down to $149-$159 if I were to make a bet.  And that should enable the 360 to either break even or lose less than $35 per console.  At the same time continuing its second place in the market.

I don't support Wal-mart but this is a good deal. I'd rather spend the $200 at a Ma and Pa type shop then $100 at Walmart.

I am all for supporting smaller stores.  I think there will always be  a place for them and they are great.  However there is no way in hell I would purchase a product from them if its over $100.  Most of them have no type of warranty and your just shit out of luck if something goes wrong.  So places like walmart do have their place.

I just talked my uncle and my brother in law into picking up this deal if they can get one before everyone else.  So my live friends list will have +2. :D

Technically, you would still be spending $200 at Walmart.  You would just get $300 worth of stuff for that $200.

Deal is very tempting.  I refuse to pay for XBox Live Gold so I don't need a HDD.  All I have to do is convince myself that the Mass Effect trilogy is worth it.
