The DS is loved everywhere, but the Japanese arent known for liking bigger things. They usually prefer smaller, but who knows.

DSi sold 170k first week and this should sell 250k ? Impossible. I'm not even sure there will be a 100k boost, is not a new console, just a biigger version at an higer price...will sell a bit compared to DSi/DSL sales in the long run...

I think this is really a counter move to Sony's PSPgo, rather than what they are setting it to be ( A redesign for the elderly).
Look, sales of the PSP this week were higher than those of the DS, even not counting the PSPgo.
DS sales are going down, and Nintendo, just like last year, will release a redesign to spur sales back up.
