Forums - Gaming - MW2 or NSMB Wii? Which will sell more end of 09 and lifetime?

As the title states.  Just having this discussion with my brother cause he was telling me MW2 is all the rave people in his workplace are talking about.  So i just want to know those of VGC opinions.  I chose to put MW2 head on with NSMB Wii cause lets face it, Mario + Wii = HUGE right?

For the end of 09, i want to say MW2 will beat NSMB Wii with such high preorders already, but ill choose NSMB Wii cause its Wii has larger fanbase and its Mario, and no matter what Nintendo always pulls something off.

And for lifetime definately Mario for me.

Note: MW2 sales include combined PS3 & Xbox 360 against NSMB Wii.

Ill keep track if there actually enough posters lol XD

EDIT: Instead of counting the votes, its quite obvious that everybody says MW2 will be bigger than NSMB Wii, and vice versa for lifetime tho a few think that MW2 will beat NSMB Wii lifetime which is interesting.

End of 09? Tough call, but I'll say MW2.

I think MW2 will be ahead at the end of 09, but only slightly. NSMBWii is going to beat it handily LTD, though.

Modern Warfare 2.

It's available on PC, PS3, and 360. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is only available on Wii. Plus, I doubt everyone who bought the DS game will buy/own a Wii by the game's release where as Modern Warfare 2 already has the userbase of the first Modern Warfare with PS3's, 360's and PC's.

It could go either way lifetime. It really depends on how much Galaxy 2 cuts into NSMB Wii, and how long MW2 can sell for. End of '09 is definitely MW2, but Mario will put up a good fight.

great question.
It'll be modern warfare 2 for both limited and lifetime sales.
I think this game is going to sell 15-20M units lifetime, and the biggest selling non-bundled game on wii is wiifit, which obviously has a bigger audience than a game like mario bros.
