Zipper has (had?) a pretty huge following with their Socom games. Surely now that their bigger, better, awesomer project is in closed beta, it should garner some attention. Maybe hands on time and positive word of mouth is translating into preorders.

The SOCOM fanbase is one of the most loyal in existence. I know. I would say one million is about guaranteed as the large majority of SOCOM fans will buy this, on top of those who are enticed by the beta or the large battle scenarios.
