CoD:MW2 is at ~2.3m units on PS3/X360, which who knows which pre-order numbers IGN is quoting (possibly PS3/X360/PC, or possibly PS3/X360 retailer pre-orders). So, doesn't seem that odd to me.

As for MAG, SOCOM is at 0.9m units of retail disc, and MAG is the spiritual successor to SOCOM, so I could easily see it breaking 1m units if it is good.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Reasonable on 03 November 2009

Putting aside the numbers accuracy, which I can't judge, I'm surprised. I thought interest in US would be less than indicated (so far) from those numbers.

Playing the beta I thought it was okay but not amazing, but I can see if you get enough clans going who get into the tactics and the challenge it could be a moderate hit - particularly if they all have 128 members each...



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I am not shocked because I believe it's an over-tracked number for sure. There's no hype at all for MAG, I refuse to believe there's 80k pre-orders. It would deserve that though, cos MAG is an excellent game but it just wont sell very well with no marketing and hype.

They probably had PC in there.

 

 

Ya, I am quite suprised to see MAG is doing relatively well.

no im not surprised by it i was in a few gaming stores a couple a weeks ago and i over heard some costumers talking bout the game to the store worker they all seemed hyped for the game

and i do believe the game will get over 1 mill LTD 2mill is even possible
