Yup, it's relatively large because the title has far more orders than titles much closer to launch, it's a new IP and it's on the weakest console in the region.  It's not large as in MW2 large, but relative to the title and the console it is pretty high with 12 weeks to go.

The big question for me is, have the pre-orders topped out early due to the Beta (which might be the case and I think Kow was wondering this earlier in the thread) or whether it will see the normal steady build to launch, which, given it's in twelve weeks implies at this point that MAG will finish with very healthy pre-orders for a new IP that's online only on PS3 in USA.

People doubt preorder numbers here? wow... Yeh it'll be fair enough to say it may not be 100% accurate but man, doubting preorder numbers and saying how is that possible with MAG having more preorders than Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, etc... Didn't kinda expect to see that.

Well I'm suprised for sure. Though MAG won't have the exact success like COD, but it's a pretty damn good game. It probably would be my first game bought in 2010. And it's good to see it doing well so far in preorders.

So is MAG.  I think that Confrontation sales are a great indicator for low end MAG projections.  The only glaring drawback to MAG for Socom fans is that it is a FPS.  Knowing the issues with Confrontation, and the Socom fanbase's love/hate for Zipper, I think they will get over this.  

I have no reason to be in disbelief, I actually think that it is doing pretty good. It's the 8th most preordere game in America and all the games in front of it will be release in the next 3 weeks. So 3 weeks from now it will probably be on the top preorder list.

When reading threads like this all i can think of is very insecure xbox fanboys desperately clutching at straws. Next year will be very fun.
