On topic. A company has every right to make a profit, and in fact MS EDD division is currently only making a small profit.

Charging for live - this is a service that MS provides, and they can expect to charge users for it. Fair enough.

Charging for harddrives - this is a good, and they can expect to charge users for it. yes, it would be nice to be able to use 3rd party hardware, but generally all electronis companies try to lock users in to their own hardware if they can

Charging for HD movies - I'm sorry, you'll have to explain this point. Are you refering to the HD dvd player add on?

Netflix - I've already stated that live is justified, and it isfact the company that owns netflix that charges for it.

Party chat - you mean the ability to talk to people playing other games whilst gaming online? That again is covered by your live fee, as far as Im aware, and has thus already been justified

Wifi - it makes sense for the 360 to have wifi as an addon. that way if you don't want to pay for it you don't have to. Yes, it seems a tad overpriced (although I'm pretty sure there was a price drop when the 802.11n adapters came in)

Bluetooth - as far as I'm aware, the 360 doesn't support bluetooth and thus MS don't charge for something that doesn't exist.

Are you trying to say that MS charges for home? Or that Sony should. Sony has gone with a fairly conventional revenue system for Home, providing the basic content for free while charging for extra content, as well as profiting from advertising. This is the same as Habbohotel and other second life clones.
