Ever wanted to be the Star in a reasonably priced car? Well now you can drive a Chevrolet Lacetti (or Suzuki Lianna) round the Top Gear track.

Liana. Ellen MacArthur 1:46.7 (non pro driver), The Stig 1:44.4

Lacetti. Gordon Ramsay 1:46.8

I expect many people will be comparing their times to these in the future.

This deal will guarantee massive sales for GT5 in the UK. If they can get similar deals with shows in other countries then GT5 will be a huge seller.

Top Gear has a strangely strong following here in the US as well. I cannot wait for this game and it is my system seller, but I'd like the price for the game and system for me to be about $350 next christmas.

It will probably be a huge seller regardless, but this concept is facinating.

I'd imagine that this deal will be mentioned in the next Top Gear show, which will bring awareness and interest to perhaps thousands of non gamers.
