You see the sales for movies and games in this area? Yeah, it doesn't have mass appeal.

Actual horror games this generation (Silent Hill, Siren, and Fatal Frame 4) have not sold all that well.

if indigo prophecy was able to score positive reviews, why cant this game. I really dont care anyway this game is still a day one buy for me regardless

I didn't know Heavy Rain was a psychological horror game...i thought more like psychological drama, there's horror here? If this is the case, it would really peak my interest in this title.

It is actually a thriller, but has horror moments, according to Cage. Therefore it is a psychological thriller, but the genre is horror. Make sense?

Makes alot of sense, it's comepletely different in gameplay compared to Alan Wake, but similar in genre. (?) This is how i tried to categorize it. The horror genre is best when it's in the form of a thriller in my opinion, so Heavy Rain should be stellar.

As I said, a psychological thriller is still a horror title, as Alan Wake and Silent Hill will/have proven.

"All I can say is that Heavy Rain will be a very dark film noir thriller with mature themes."

Should had released a couple weeks after Uncharted 2 but since they choose to wait till after the holidays then its sales will slowly but surely crawl towards 1.4 million. If they are lucky 2 million. Nothing more

I would expect sales of this game to be somewhere between .5 and 1.2M. And the crowded release time wont help anything
