Despite the packed release window this game wil be taking priority. It will be a first day purchase, even if those other games have to wait. Not that they will cause I'll just buy them all as well.

games like these can only sell through marketing and positive word of mouth.

i dont see this game selling that much, million at most as it doesnt appeal to mass market, though im interested in it, and will be buying it.

I pray for a decent marketing from sony and some sweet bundle of this down the road and it shud sell fine.

I'm actually planning to get this for my mother, this should be just a game for her!

I'm definitely buying this on day 1.

But this games sales will live and die based on its replayability. If its a movie that people want to experience over and over, it will do well. If the twists and turns are interesting, it will do very well. If it's only 8 hours long with no replay value, the used games market will devour this game's chances for true success.

Because it's in a very unlikable genre, and reviewers these days assert what they like into their score.

i will be curious to see how it sales, if your a ps3 and 360 owner like me, the games im looking for are, god of war 3, mag, left for dead 2, rage, splinter cell conviction, new ratchett and clank, god of war collection, alan wake, i mean dang there are sooo many great games to choose from, and i dont know about all of you but money is getting more tight. hard decisions ahead, i know one thing god of war 3 , is my 100 % must have.

@CGI: It's a dark film noir thriller mixed with interactive drama.

I didn't know Heavy Rain was a psychological horror game...i thought more like psychological drama, there's horror here? If this is the case, it would really peak my interest in this title.
