Hooray, more Zelda info!
Very excited for both these games.

while im not a full zelda lover since hmmm LTTP i enjoyed phantom, and TP(as well as Ocarina).Im excited about zelda.Nintendo will pull another grand title to keep gamers very much hooked with the system next year.I expect next year to have zelda(i dont think nintendo can afford to wait much longer with the constant market pressure, and iwata stating that lack of titles did stall sales).
All that said, Motion plus seems like an excellent addition to the zelda for wii, given that i felt very lackluster the tacked on waggling on TP.Beautiful visuals, extended gameplay, challenging quests, i cant wait.Id love some videos tho.But zelda hardly ever dissapoints.

Archery was just fine in Zelda TP Wii. I wouldn't want it changed. |
Have you played WSR? Archery is really good in it, it has a very nice feel. I haven't played the Wii version of TP so I can't say which is better, but I wouldn't worry too much.

lol, apparently my post was popular. xD
what i mean is the hardcore has been yelling and screaming for years now that nintendo has neglected the hardcore. now in just the last year we have a team ninja metroid announcement and an apperantly quite punishing 2D mario. I feel like nintendo is bending to the wills of the forum going hardcores saying "look at us,...we can be hardcore too!!" to which i say... 1. nintendo needs to keep their eye on the larger market not just the whiny majority. 2. despite the large number of games i play i'm actually quite bad at them...i hate hard games. xD okay, so 2 points don't make a trend but i'm still worried that nintendo is letting themselves be influenced by the wrong people. i mean it's a pretty thin like between challenging and frustrating. |
Don't forget that in the past NINTENDO games have been more difficult AND sold in significant numbers at the same time (even during periods when their consoles weren't as popular, some of their major franchises were still successful and more difficullt to boot) so I see no reason why they'd fail (or lose marketshare) now because they released a more difficult game.
Besides, I bet these upcoming games are only harder than recent nintendo games have been, not out and out brain numbingly impossible.
Miyamoto needs to stop reminding me that I don't have a DS anymore, and I can't play any of its cool games. :(
Excited for Zelda WM+, though.
I'm now officially hyped for Spirit Tracks :)
Zelda Wii can't come soon enough!
Good. Phantom Hourglass was good, but easy and occasionally boring because of it. Not enough challenge.

Zelda games should be easy to learn but hard to master, this is the way the games can be truly challenging
Sounds good. PH had a stunningly good interface, with a stunningly average game built around it. It felt like a warm up but it sounds like ST will be the main course...
