Wii Final Fantasy Gets Big Advertising

XIII? Nope! Square Enix pushes Crystal Bearers in central Tokyo.

There's a Final Fantasy game taking up prime advertising space in central Tokyo right now. Surprisingly, it's not Final Fantasy XIII!

Exit Shibuya Station, and you'll likely see this:

That's Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers being pushed on the side of the famous Q Front building (the one housing the Tsutaya and Starbucks).

Layle is on the other side of the building too.

Looks like Square Enix is giving its Nintendo-only offshoot of the Final Fantasy series somewhat of a push.

Personally, I like seeing Shibuya (my current home town) filled with game-related signs. Turn to the left of this building, and you'll see this:

Bayonetta will be on 109 for just a few more days. Hopefully another game publisher managed to snatch up the ad spot!

This has to reach a million worldwide, at the very least. It most probably will, though, it releases in a good time.

New Super Mario Bros Wii will have somewhat faded by then, too.

I think they are relatively well timed in Japan, right at the start of their holiday rush, and out ahead enough of FFXIII that it could probably feed on the FF furor going on, rather than be sapped by it.

In the US all the kiddies will wonder what to do with their Christmas cash. ^_^

Personally I would wait for Ninja Bread Man 3, just my advice.

Eh, I thought Shibuya was busier than that... doesn't even look as congested as time square.

Nice, although it does seem kind of small since it only takes up a part of the building instead of the whole side.

On a side note, I just started The World Ends With You, and just did the mission where you try to promote the Red Skull pins in preparation for an advert on the Q building's big screen. I never bothered to look at pictures of the real Q, or 109 (a.k.a. 104 in TWEWY), it's kind of freaky.

Nice that they're giving it a push, but I still expect pretty low sales. I think they should've branded it differently, the Crystal Chronicles subseries has pretty much run out of steam.
