It's the developers themselves and their abilities. Like I said previously, Uncharted 2 and MGS4 are the same kind of game, and yet UC2 has no install and looks better, and MGS4 has more installs than any other PS3 game in existence.

I'd go with Modern Warfare 2, just because you want to get in on the ground floor with multiplayer.

I would say it depends on how much mutliplayer you would like to do.  I played the latest R&C game, and it feels like so far that it still has the touch to it.  Mylself, the choice would be to get R&C and then the original MC, unless MC2 happens to show it added enough new stuff to the mix.

You make MW2 sound like a multi-level marketing opportunity.  What is gained from getting in early, outside of more practice with the game?

no mw2 is not game of the year, dream on. i no that like reviewers are going to be biased and review it higher but it wont win more then uncharted does. it'll be like 40/40 and the rest going to other random games that were super good. lol

the new ratchet game is the best yet, but get mw2 because ot what aion said
